If an appeal jury were to be formed, a deposit of 60 € would be required. In case the jury determines the runner is right the deposit would be returned.
Other complaints must be send in writing by email at: info@zurichmaratonsevilla.es, addressed to the Referee Judge; before the Wednesday following the race.
The Organisation will publish the Referee Judge's rulings within a maximum of 10 days, after which the placings will be considered definitive. Until then, therefore, all awards of trophies and prizes will be provisional.
Bibs may only be collected from the Runners Exhibition (Feria del Corredor), which will be held in the FIBES in Seville on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February 2025, between 10.00 and 20.00 (uninterrupted).
To collect their bibs, runners will have to show their registration receipt or a copy of the registration and their Identity Card, passport or other official document which identifies them.
No bibs will be handed out on the day of the race.
The bibs must be worn on the front of the torso and be fully visible throughout the whole of the race; bibs may not be modified.
The bibs must not be folded or manipulated because they contain a disposable chip.
The following will lead to disqualification:
Food and drink will be given to runners along the course and in the designated area at the finishing line.
There will be stations with supplies of water at kilometres 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40; between these there will be stations with water and isotonic drinks (kilometres 7.5, 12.5, 17.5, 22.5, 27.5, 32.5 and 37.5).
Solid food will be available at some of the stations, starting with the one at kilometre 22.5.
The necessary Medical Services will be provided to attend to runners during the Zurich Seville City Marathon 2025. The Organisation recommends that all runners undergo a medical examination prior to the race, and each participant accepts the risks of running in it.
Runners also state that they are in optimum physical condition for the race and take part at their own risk.
Any runner with health problems must have previously informed the Organisation of this in writing, and must mark their bib with a red cross and write their name, address, telephone number and health problem. For their safety they must have sent a written notification of this prior to the race (stating their Bib number).
A Physiotherapy and Chiropody service will be available, exclusively for those runners who have been injured. Under no circumstances may the Physiotherapy service be used for a relaxing massage.
The Medical Services will be authorised to remove from the race a runner they consider to be in a bad physical state.
The Organisation accepts no liability for the effects, consequences or responsibilities arising from injuries or material damages caused by participants as a result of the race, whether to themselves, to other persons and even if third parties cause injury or damages to a participant, volunteer or a member of the Organisation's staff.
The Organisation will have a baggage/cloakroom service where runners may deposit their belongings; it accepts no liability for items deposited there.
The Organisation's staff in charge of the baggage/cloakroom service may ask the runners to open their bags before accepting them in order to monitor the content. If a runner refuses to open his/her bag, the Organisation may not collect the bag.
Only vehicles accredited by the Organisation may follow the race. Following the runners on/in any type of motorised or wheeled vehicle (roller skates, cycles, etc.) is totally forbidden and the Local Police of Sevilla have express orders to remove them from the course. There will be sweep bus following the race to collect those runners who, for any reason, cannot continue the race or do not wish to; any runners who are not in a condition to arrive by the planned closing time must get on the bus or abandon the race if so instructed by any member of the Organisation.
Any type of demonstration that could endanger the safety of participants or interfere with the race is forbidden; demonstrators will be removed by the Police.
All participants, by registering, accept these REGULATIONS and the Rules of the RFEA, FAA, WORLD ATHLETICS and AIMS. In case of doubt, the Organisation's judgement takes priority.
The organisers of the Zurich Seville Marathon will adopt any necessary measures required by the health emergency situation, under the legal protection of the health authorities, to guarantee the safety of runners, medical staff, volunteers, spectators, police, and all the staff involved in the organisation of the event.
The start line and finish line, cloakroom service, water and food stations, medical bay and spectator zones may be altered and/or restricted, subject to the protocol which the health authorities put in place at the time of the event.
If the health authorities where to restrict the event due to a health emergency, and decided to limit the number of participants to a number lower to the total already registered, or in an extreme case to cancel the event completely, the event organisers would offer participants affected by the restrictions the following choices:
